Performance-project „touch“ - creating private space in public space..
USA - 8th of October until 3th of November 2010

The interaction between art and life provides the focus of the project. Reulecke enters public spaces while sensing what‘s emerging and then connecting with it. His playground is Virginia, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, New York City and Connecticut, entering different situations, meeting various people and institutions while travelling, stopping and moving on. Besides possible communications via Lecture-Performances, Performances and three-dimensional interference, he is planning to work on the photo-performance „touch“. While approaching the public space and connecting Reulecke will ask people’s permission to take their photos while he is touching their bodies. The project is about sensory perception, about creating intimate spaces of transformation, in midst of hostile environments, where something challenging, poetic, comfortable and inspiring starts to appear, where another awareness is shaped, right in the midst of a world of decreasing spaces of sensitivity. Meeting this kind of situation while unfolding a different sort of presence, releases another reality. A reality not primarily driven by fear, defence and refusal but by curiosity, imagination, openness and passion. Later on the emerging photos will be shown in exhibitions or being part of performances and installations.
